Review about Giacomo Puccini opera "Turandot" revival in Latvian National opera on April 2011
This season after longer time Latvian National opera has revived one of its classical productions.
Powerful trump of this production is Liu, performed by Kristine Gailite - womanful mature and knowingly selfless, timbral bright and touching is her last aria Tu che di gel sei cinta
(text of this aria has written by composer).

Kristine Gailite is very hard working and goal-directed. She has a sonorous and clear voice, gentle and beautiful.
In each role and each musical work she tries to reveal the inner essence and dramatic direction. A truly professional singer.

Kristine Gailite in the role of Oscar showed how a real soprano should sound like: clear and loud, yet elastic and fresh.
She was also the joy of the stage, a real Tinkle Bell bringing the message to the conspirators.
Kristine Gailite combines just at the right degree a clear, round tone with the emotional ambiguity of the Governess (The Turn of the Screw).

Kristine Gailite (Rosina) is a rising star here and one can see why. She has excellent technique
(even adding new embelishments to "Una voce poco fa") and acted the mock-diva to perfection.
